Innovative Thinking 創新思考 

Idea generation is the first step toward innovation. 

In Innovation Project (1), students will learn about universal concepts of innovation, including: (i) the definition about innovation, (ii) relation between challenge/problem and innovation, (iii) from intent to impact, and (iv) training of thinking fluency and novelty. 

 

Innovative Accomplishment 創新素養 

Professional skills are the tools to assist innovation.  

In Innovation Project (2), students will learn about: (i) problem scoping, (ii) data visualization and analysis, (iii) information literacy, (iv) process planning, (v) evidence-based decision, (vi) solution quality, and apply these skills during creation.  

 

Innovation to Invention 創新發明 

Design & operation are the processes of innovation.  

In Innovation Project (3), students will be trained sufficiently under various topics, including: (i) real world case study, (ii) product design, (iii) business model & marketing strategies design, and (iv) multidisciplinary design.  

 

Innovation Management 創新管理 

Evaluation & management are the final procedure to complete innovation.  

In Innovation Management, students will learn about: (i) improvement on invention, (ii) development from product to system, (iii) risk assessment, and (iv) sustainable innovation.

Need Finding & Problem Scoping 發現與量化問題 

Problems & challenges are the reason for innovation. 

In the beginning of Innovation Project, students will learn about problem scoping  including: (i) engineering ethic (ii) problem statement, (iii) information literacy, (iv) data visualization and analysis, (v) descriptive statistics and (vi) diagram demonstration. 

 

Innovative Accomplishment 分析與模擬

In the second step of Innovation Project, students will learn about: (i) team work, (ii) logical thinking, (iii) data visualization and analysis, (iv) information literacy, (v) process planning and awareness, (vi) trouble shooting and problem solving, and apply these skills during creation.  

 

Ideas to Invention 構思至發明 

Design & operation are the processes of innovation.  

In the third step of Innovation Project, students will be trained sufficiently under various topics, including: (i) universal concepts, (ii) idea fluency, (iii) real world case study, (ii) project/product design, (iii) evidence-based decision making, (iv) multidisciplinary design, and (vii) solution quality. 

 

Evaluation and Innovation 評估與創新發展 

Evaluation & communication are the final precedure to complete innovation.  

In the final step of Innovation Project, students will learn about: (i) giving & receiving feedback, (ii) professional communication, (iii) improvement on invention, (iv) development from product to system, (vi) risk assessment, (vii) evaluation of solution, and (viii) sustainable innovation.
